Operating under the supervision of the General Counsel, the Office of Tribal Attorney (OTA) serves as the chief legal representative and advisor to the Executive Office for the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes of Oklahoma.

In this role, the OTA provides timely and efficient legal services to the Executive Office, Directors, tribal programs, and staff of tribal government and tribal business enterprises, including subordinate tribal entities.

The OTA also acts as a liaison to federal, other tribal, state and local governments, court systems, officials, professional associations, and interest groups on matters of interest to the Cheyenne and Arapaho Tribes.

The Office of Tribal Attorney, while supporting Indian Self-Determination as expressed in the Indian Self-Determination and Education Assistance Act, as amended, Public Law 93-638, promotes the sovereignty and jurisdiction of the Cheyenne and Arapaho of Oklahoma.
